Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: 3 July 2026

This page explains how you can request the deletion of personal data that Advermint ("Advermint," "we," "us") holds or processes about you, including data obtained through connected Meta/Facebook accounts, the Meta Marketing API, Google services, Shopify, or other platforms we use on behalf of our clients.

This page complements our Privacy Policy and is provided in line with your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. How to Request Deletion

To request deletion of your personal data, please contact us using either method below:

Please include the following in your request so we can locate and verify your data:

  • Your full name
  • The email address, account, or platform (e.g., Facebook/Meta account, ad account, website form) through which we may hold your data
  • A brief description of your request
  • Any information that helps us verify your identity (see below)

2. Identity Verification

To protect your data from unauthorized deletion requests, we may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request. This may include confirming details associated with your account or the email address on file. We will only use this information to verify your identity and process your request.

3. Timeframe

We will acknowledge your request and confirm receipt promptly. We aim to review, verify, and complete deletion requests within 30 days of receiving a valid, verified request. If we require additional time due to the complexity of the request, we will inform you of the delay and the expected completion date.

4. What Gets Deleted

Upon a verified request, we will delete or anonymize the personal data we hold or process about you, including (where applicable):

  • Contact information you have provided to us
  • Data collected or processed via connected Meta/Facebook accounts and the Meta Marketing API on behalf of a client
  • Data collected through Google Ads, Google Analytics, Shopify, or other connected platforms in the course of providing services to our clients
  • Any other personal data we process directly as a data controller for our own business purposes (e.g., website inquiries)

5. Retention Exceptions

In some cases, we may be legally required or permitted to retain certain data despite your deletion request, for example:

  • Accounting and invoicing records, which Danish law requires us to retain for a statutory period
  • Information needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements
  • Data that has already been anonymized or aggregated such that it no longer identifies you

Any data retained under these exceptions will be kept only for as long as necessary and will remain subject to appropriate safeguards.

6. Data Processed on Behalf of Clients

Where we process personal data as a data processor on behalf of a client (for example, data within a client's Meta advertising account or Shopify store), we will direct your request to the relevant client or assist the client in fulfilling it, as required under applicable data processing agreements and the GDPR.

7. Your Other Rights

In addition to deletion, you may have the right to access, correct, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability, under the GDPR. For more information about how we process personal data generally, please see our Privacy Policy. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) if you believe your data protection rights have been violated.
